ALASKA POLLOCK is where electronic music meets alternative pop, with just a touch of blues. Based in Amsterdam, the band is built around composer and producer Jelte de Vries. By combining his guitar-driven songs with electronic drums and synths, he creates an interesting sonic landscape that is both intriguing and groovy.
Taking best of the electronic and acoustic worlds, Rogier van Roosmalen, Olivier de Jong and Jelte perform with the live-feel you expect from a band, with the lush sound of an electronic production. Live, this is also reflected in the accompanying visuals/light show. ALASKA POLLOCK is most probably influenced by Radiohead, Alt-J, Flume and many others.
